Full back waxing
We wax the whole back, from the nape and shoulders down to the lower back, an area that is impossible to get even on your own with a razor. The cosmetologist works in sections so the result is uniform, with no patches.
The back is one of the least sensitive areas, so it is among the most tolerable even though it is large. The slot is 30 minutes and, with wax, the result lasts three to four weeks.
Wax or machine: which to choose?
Hot Wax
Warm wax adheres precisely to the hair, removing it from the root for long-lasting results of 3–4 weeks. Ideal for most skin types and areas.
Electric Machine
Gentler approach for sensitive skin and delicate areas. The machine pulls hair efficiently with minimal irritation — perfect for frequent treatments.
Does back waxing hurt?
A low-sensitivity area
Back skin is thick, so most people tolerate it well. The shoulders and spine are a little more sensitive.
More hair and pull the first time
If you have never waxed, the first session is the most uncomfortable. From the second one the hair comes back finer and hurts much less.
We trim if it is long
If the hair is longer than 1 cm we trim it before waxing, so each pull is cleaner.
Pair it with a back cleansing
If you get spots or blackheads on your back, you can also book a back cleansing on another visit.
What happens in your back session
It takes 30 minutes in a private cabin, lying face down.
- 01
Agree the area
We agree whether to include shoulders, nape and lower back, and how to finish at the neck so it looks natural.
- 02
Trim and cleanse
We trim the hair if it is too long and cleanse the back to remove sweat and creams.
- 03
Wax in sections
We work from the bottom up and from the spine outwards, following the direction of the hair in each area.
- 04
Tidy-up and soothe
We check there are no patches left, tweeze stray hairs and apply a soothing product.
Can I get waxed today?
Good time to come if
- You have a trip, the beach or an event and want a clean back
- You cannot shave your own back
- Back and shoulder hair bothers you when you train or swim
- Your hair is between 5 mm and 1 cm long
Better wait or tell us first if
- You have a sunburn on your back
- You have inflamed acne, cuts or irritation on the area
- You use retinoids or isotretinoin
- You take blood thinners (ask us before booking)
If you have active acne on your back, treat it first; a back cleansing helps decongest the skin.
Before and after care
Before your appointment
- Do not shave your back in the two or three weeks before
- Avoid sun on your back in the days before
- Do not apply creams or oils that day
- Bring a loose cotton T-shirt
The first 24–48 hours
- Do not train that day: sweat and friction from a backpack or T-shirt cause bumps
- Avoid sun, pool and sauna for 24–48 hours
- Wear loose cotton clothing
- From the third day, exfoliate gently with a long-handled brush
Back: common questions
Frequently asked questions
How much does back hair removal cost in Medellín?
Back hair removal costs $ 60.000 COP with wax and $ 40.000 COP with machine. You choose the method when you book.
Is wax or machine hair removal better?
Wax provides longer-lasting results (3–4 weeks) and is ideal for most areas. Machine is gentler on sensitive skin and delicate zones. Our cosmetologists advise you based on your skin type and the area being treated.

Does back waxing include the shoulders?
Yes, it includes the shoulders, upper back and lower back. Before starting we agree how far up the neck to go so the edge looks natural.
Can I wax my back if I have spots?
If there are just a few and they are not inflamed, yes, we work around them. If you have inflamed acne or open lesions, better wait, as wax can irritate them further.
How often should I wax my back?
Every three or four weeks. For a specific date like a trip or an event, wax two or three days before so the skin has settled.
